Global Picnic
Every year, our company treats all their employees to a summer outing, usually in
Subic. Before I was with the company, Global Picnic was held in
Fontana. But they rejected us three years ago (I think) because the head count is huge that they cannot accommodate us anymore.
We left office at 9AM boarding the tourist bus bound to
Subic. It was raining a little that time. We had our brunch at Pier One and headed straight to the Hotel (
Legenda Suites). Some of us were sleepy because we just out of our shift. Since I was there to party and enjoy, I got a quick shower, dressed up and went to the event area.
~ Legenda Suites ~
The main event area was between the Pier One and the LightHouse hotel, so we had the whole shore side for ourselves. The Organizers did a great job because the area was spacious, lots of chairs and tables, and a great view. We experienced a quick shower in the late afternoon and consistent mild showers in the evening. But that did not stop us from partying.
~ Sea side event ~
~ Inflatables near the Lighthouse hotel ~
~ The stage ~
We had dinner at 7:30PM. Good thing, there's less people in the buffet table, because I asked the waitress to double the servings, which she did. Takaw!
~ Me and my scrumptious dinner ~
It was already raining a little that time so we watched that band on our dinner table, which is not that far from the stage area. We only got to watch Indio I and did not saw Brownbeat all star perform because we went back to the hotel.
~ Indio I ~
Me and my friend signed up for the fortune teller booth, and I was pretty much satisfied on what the fortune teller told me. I'm just keeping my hopes up for now.
Then of course, what's a party without the booze right? These girls gave us 2 cans of margarita, which of course six for me because I asked my other friends to get their share so they can get it to me
hahaha. More pictures *
here*
~ Margarita ladies ~
Then went back the to hotel room because there's another party going on. Me and my friends enjoyed the night full of booze and chit-chats. I remembered I was walking back to my hotel room at 2AM without a single drop of rain at that time. But I received a text message from my mom that it was already raining hard in QC.
We woke up at 7AM, took a bath and prepared for breakfast. Everybody was talking about the hard rain in QC the night before, but it was only raining light from where we were. We experienced heavy rains in North Expressway. I was literally hearing the whistle of the wind from the inside of the bus. It's scary.
~ On the way home... ~
~ Too bad I still have my beer stub ~I arrived at SM North at 12noon but got home around 4PM. I had a hard time getting transpo to Bulacan because the area was flooded. Thanks to the Toyota adventure driver because he drove through the knee-high flood so we can get home. But the drop off is in SM Marilao which is isolated with flood as well. God never fails to help me, because I saw our long time friend, who I haven't seen for more than 3 years. He was there responding to a rescue mission in front of SM Marilao. Yeah, also to my rescue because he was kind enough to drop me home.
When arrived, the little angel hugged me and said, "I missed you mommy... "

I'm back at night time
Yes, I'm back at night time and hopefully it will last 2 months or so.
We had a blast last Sunday--Father's day. We woke up early and gave our gifts to FIL (North face back pack) and to the hubby (pair of crocs) and they loved it. We went to church in the morning and had lunch out at Max's. The little angel enjoyed couple of arcade rides in the mall and then we went home. We got ready, packed our things and went to my parents house in QC. We stayed there until the late afternoon and let the kids play. We waited for the rest of my sisters to arrived and we went to Shakey's to have dinner. Hubby and I were happy to see the little angel ate her dinner without us helping her. She grabbed the fork and scoped a mouthful of spaghetti and took a bit on her pepperoni slice pizza. What a sight. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures because I was also enjoying my pizza and mojos. =B
The little angel's yaya said goodbye too that day and we fetched her replacement. So far, everything is well between the little angel and her new yaya. Good thing about it is that, the little kiddo never did asked for her old yaya, but asked for her mommy all the time. =B That's my angel.

Braces no more
I went to the dentist this morning to have my braces removed. Sa wakas. It's been a while. And I'm happy because I have accomplished most of the things-to-do on my list, and this is one of them. Then I came back later in the afternoon to get my retainers. I'll be back there next week because the dentist will adjust the retainers. Now, I've been looking in the mirror more often and kept smiling just to look at my teeth hahahaha. But it feels really good to have them off now. I feel so fresh and clean.
More at work....
It's been hell at work, and lately I'm not happy with the latest news. I was hoping to get good news from the other department but unfortunately, more bad news. This is not that serious, but I just want this off my chest.
But somewhere in heart... I'm still hoping for the best. I know HE has plans for me.

Zoobic Safari
The hubby and I were planning to bring the little angel to Manila Zoo and Avilon Zoo in the future. Good thing, my SIL asked us to check out Zoobic Safari with them. We went there last May 17--Saturday when the rain was pouring. But we kept our hopes up and agreed to go despite the rain. We arrived at Subic bay around 10:30am and went straight to Xtremely Xpresso Cafe' to check out their Big Ben's Pizza I was talking about.
We ordered one Big Ben Pizza, two meat lasagna, nachos and drinks. Believe me, their meat
lasagna was very very good. It's a must try! The nachos were good because the toppings was yummy. The Big Ben pizza was baked fresh with various meat and veggies on top. I very much liked the crispy crunch of the crust.
~ BIL posing in front of the Big Ben pizza ~
After that delicious meal, we drove around Subic bay to check what's new in the area and then we headed straight to Zoobic Safari.
~ Hubby and the little Angel ~God was good to us because it stopped raining when we got there. They still have a Mother's day promo which the mother in a group of five will be free. What do you know? There's five of us so I was free and so is the little angel.
Yey.
They have tigers displayed in front lobby so the kids were not bored while waiting. Before the actual tour, we watched a 15-minute animal show. After that, the visitors were grouped in two with their respective tour guides.
First stop was the
Serpentrium, where in we walked around to see different kinds of snakes displayed the aquariums.

~ Snakes. ~
Then we decided to pay the extra 50 pesos each for this train ride that will lead us to other sites in the area. It was all worth it since the tour guide was with us during the entire time and we get to see the sites first hand. So we don't need to worry about where to park our cars and our things.
~ The little angel said, "Chu... chu..." because we were in the train-like cart. ~Second stop was the Safari. We rode the orange
Jeepney that was converted to a cage. Then we drove inside the safari area where Tigers roam around freely. We bought raw chicken so we can feed the tigers and see them up close.
~ Inside the Jeepney cage ~

~ Tigers! ~
Then after the safari experience, we went to our train cart and waited for the others to finish. The tour guide was generous to volunteer to take a picture of us.
~ DLS Family: FIL, little angel, hubby, moi, SIL and her husband ~
Third stop was the Tigers Close Encounter. These cages were connected to the Safari area. This is where the tigers sleep, eat, take a bath etc. The tour guide introduced all their tigers-their names and their ages. Believe me, they are huge.
~ This one is resting. ~Fourth stop was the breeding farm. We drove inside the area and saw ostrich, wild boar and sheep running the around freely.
~ Pose for the camera. ~Fifth stop was the crocodile pit. There were
crocs all around, not the slippers but it's the real deal. Some of the guests bought raw chicken so we can see them move. They said, if they're not going to do anything, they will not move at all. Lazy.

~ Lazy crocs on the left; Feeding the crocs on the right. ~
Sixth and last stop was the museum. They asked us not to touch anything inside because of the formalin and they want to preserve the displayed animals too.

~ Animal Museum ~
The tour guide said, that there were still two others sites but we were not allowed to go there because of the strong wind. We might catch a falling branch from a tree because that site will require us to walk in the forest.
We finished the tour around 3:30 in the afternoon. The rain poured when we got inside the car. Then along the way, we ate at Razon's somewhere in Pampanga. We had a fun weekend and we plan to go places some more. Our next stop might be in Puerto Galera. I'm excited.

Weekend
We had a fun weekend. We did not let the rain stop us from going to...

Yes! We went there and last Saturday morning. We got Subic bay around 10:30AM and grabbed lunch at Big Ben's famous big pizza at Extremely Expresso Cafe. After that full carb meal, we went straight to Zoobic Park. Good thing the rains stopped when we got there. More pictures once I've upload them.

Summer is not over
I can't believe it's already rainy season. Summer is not over yet for me. We haven't finished our family trips yet. Oh I hope it will not rain this coming Saturday because we planned to go to Subic bay to visit the Zoobic Park. We cannot afford any delays since it's all set. We also plan to go to Puerto Galera with the little angel, but we can't go if it's raining.
Tsk. I hope the rain won't spoil everyone's summer vacation.

I can't believe I missed yesterday's Wordless Wednesday... I was too busy doing paid ops for my other site that I forgot that it's already Wednesday.

Post from Saturday
This entry was written in a scratch paper last Saturday morning when I got home work.
+ May 10, 2008 - 5:00AM +
Just got home from work...Before heading straight home, the hubby and I stopped by at SM Marilao to access their ATM machines. I noticed two persons using the machines--a man and a woman, in their mid-forties wearing their usual house attire--
daster/pambahay. I immediately noticed that they were rather doing something that's taking them longer than the usual time to withdraw. I approached the man, and when he saw me, he gathered all his belongings and let me use the machine. Lo and behold, there was like 6 inches of money resting on the side of the machine. He quickly took it and gave it to the woman beside him, whose also using the ATM machine. They tried to hide it from me, but hello, it was too noticeable. The woman quickly put the money in her mail man bag.
There were quite a number of ATM cards that they use to withdraw the money, to which I think is not theirs. I finished my business and walked towards my hubby in the parking lot. The hubby also noticed their business and ask if I got my transaction slip (yes, I did) and I asked why. He said, they could be hackers of ATM cards who are stealing money from other people.
The hubby said, the he lost 1,000 pesos few months back and does not know where it went. He just got zero balance when he was sure that he still have money in it.
The hubby said, that I should get my salary once I get it this coming payday.
Mahirap na. Baka ma-trace nila yung card, since I was there daw. And to think it was 4:45 in the morning.
Walang tao nun, so nakakahinala talaga.I jokingly said, "
come on... ikaw naman..." But It got me thinking... what if it is true. I don't want to loose my hard earned money that like that. What if these people are really burglars trying to steal from other people? I dunno. Now, I'm thinking of opening another account from another bank.
If these people are really bad, I hope Karma would get back to their wrong doings.
Please take extra cautions guys.

Belated Happy Mother's day!
I'm soo late.... Belated Happy Mother's day to all! This is the thing with no working computer at home--late, late, late and no updates.
I spend the whole Saturday @ SM Marilao with the little angel. We played, strolled, window shopped, rode cars in arcades, ate ice cream... Yep, it's me and the little angel! We really had fun!
Then we celebrated our Sunday by visiting our grandmother (mother's side) in Antipolo. My uncle who was there too with our two cousins, who just arrived from Canada. I finally got my Victoria secret set. Another addition to my collection. So had lunch there and stayed for awhile. Some of our cousins were there and it's so nice to see them with kids already. Then around late afternoon, we went to Trinoma to have lunch at Friday's. Again, I got pictures but I don't have a computer to upload it. Tsk.
I have a lot on my mind right now and I think there's so many things to do. Or at least I think there are... hmmm... Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day.

Updates
I've been busy doing paid ops for my other home. Just got back from our family vacay and one of my sponsors has been very grateful lately. Imagine, paid ops waiting for me. Actually, I've been praying for this happen and here it is. It is truly a blessing! Thank you! Thank you!
I got 300 plus pictures from our family outing and unfortunately, our computer at home won't boot up. I am now tempted to buy a laptop for myself since option are--I really need it. And I don't know why I still haven't purchased one. Can anyone recommend a brand? Thanks!

Status: On Vacay
We are going to the beach tomorrow. It's the little angel's first time and I want to document everything. Good thing, my digicam was fixed just in time. I was able to pick it up this afternoon and everything seemed to be okay. I hope it's the last time. Anyway, I need to hit the sack because we'll hit the road @ 5AM. Ciao!

When it rains, it pours...
Yes, when it rains... it pours. Three weeks ago, we received a box from the MIL. Tons of new clothes again for the little angel, two new bathing suits and floats, grocery treats and chocolates for us and of course, my personal treat. I so love the hand bag, the dove shampoos and conditioners, VC bra, racer back shirt, lip gloss... everything. Thank you! Thank you to my MIL.

Dawal beach resort - Zambales
April 26-27, 2008 - We had our over night stay @ Dawal Beach Resort in Zamabales. The travel time was a bit long. But it was never boring because we kept each other busy. I only slept on hour and the kwentuhan kept me awake. And there are times that I had time alone with my ipod and moments later we were there already.
~ On the road to Zambales ~
We made ourselves comfortable in out A/C rooms and prepared food for dinner. We had grilled liempo (pork), chicken, eggplant and sinigang. I was able to roam around to check the place. They have everything there. From the beach front to the pool area, restaurant and bar.
~ At last, sand on my feet... ~
I had a quick nap before dinner and felt recharged for the night. After dinner we all went for a swim in the pool since it was too dark to go to beach. I got a good exercise because I swam and swam until I'm out of breath. We also did group games and everyone enjoyed. I did not had the chance to take pictures because I was one of the committee and was busy preparing and assisting everyone. I really enjoyed the night.
6AM Wake call - but I woke up at 6:30am. We quickly prepared breakfast and wore our swimming gear for an Island hop to Potipot island.
~ A boat ride to Potipot Island. ~
The boat slowed down once near the shore and look what I saw in the water... it's so clear that I could see the rock formation at the buttom.
~ Clear water ~
The peaceful waves matched the clear waters and the white sands--perfect for swimming. It was still early when we got there which why the shot is not that bright.
~ Perfect weekend getaway ~
~ The team in Potipot Island. ~We got back to our rooms, got dressed and hit the road to Manila. The travel time was a breeze. It kinda felt good that we're going home. But before that, we stopped by at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe' in Subic bay for a Big Ben Pizza. Their pan pizza was huge! And about the same price as the one's we usually order from Pizza Hut and Shakey's but the difference is, you'll know it's freshly baked. I loved that chicken with herbs. It has a kind of twist in it that you'll want to have more.
~ Xtremely Xpresso Cafe' menu ~
~ Xtremely huge pizza! ~The hubby and I plans to go check out the zoo in Subic bay for the little angel to see and maybe try the Big Ben pizza too. I can't wait.

Summer fun
I mentioned previously that the little angel went out with the hubby's side of the family. By the looks of their pictures, the little angel very much enjoyed the day.
~ That's me girl! Not afraid of heights. ~
~ Having fun with her yaya. ~

First Hair-cut
It's a Friday and we attended my hubby's (cousin) graduation in PICC. It's so nice to see students graduate from their chosen field. It got teary-eyed when I imagined that it was the little angel's college graduation hehehe. I wonder if she's gonna be a nurse like her God Mother Kris (in the picture) or maybe a doctor!
~ Congratulations Kris! ~
We celebrated the occasion and ate lunch at North Park. The food was great. The little angel ate wanton noodles. Thank God she's eating more and more everyday. After that we went to Kris' house to get their bags because they'd go for a swim the next day with the hubby's side of the family together with the little angel. I was not able to join because I was in Zambales for a company outing.
We dropped by at Trinoma for the Little Angel's first hair cut. Yes, all the baby hair was still there waiting to be cut. We went to "Cuts 4 Tots" because they have the first hair cut certificate which I want to hang in her room. She picked the motorcycle chair and stayed there and did not move at all. Thank goodness for that chair.
~ Before they cut her hair. ~
Usually she gets mad when we mentioned that we'll cut her hair. But she's like, well focused on the motor bike and didn't mind what was going on. The hubby didn't like short hair so we decided to have a little trim instead which turn out to be nice.

Weekend Getaway
It will be a weekend getaway for me this time. Today we'll be attending graduation (hubby's cousin) in the morning and we'll probably be in the mall the rest of the day. I just borrowed my sister's cam so I can take pictures later. Unfortunately, I still haven't got a text message from the store. I'm so excited! Because finally the hubby agreed to have the little angel a hair-cut. Yes, after two years. I can still see her baby hair and I want to cut it desperately. The hubby really likes long hair for the little angel, but I explained that her hair gets thinner and thinker everyday. If you will feel that strands of her hair, it's still thin--just like for babies. So I really really want to cut it already and later we will. We'll be visiting Cuts '4 tots and hopefully she'll cooperate. Just don't tell her that you'll cut her hair because she'll get mad. I asked hubby to say that we'll go to the salon to have her hair "fixed" instead.
At last, a weekend getaway for me this Saturday and Sunday. Together with my office mates, we'll be heading to Zambales! Unfortunately, hubby's side of the family will be having an outing too, same day! So I can't join them. But the little angel and the hubby will. So I might not update for the next 3 days. But I'll be back. I'll just enjoy the days off under the sun and have fun!
Happy Weekend!

Good news
I received a text message from the store that my digicam was already checked and I might be able to get it this week. Finally! They will text me again if it's available for pick-up. I'm excited. It's only 8 days before our much awaited zitros family outing in Bataan and I desperately need that cam. Well, it's the reason why I bought it because of our outing. Tsk. I hope they'll text me tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers.
Okay, I'm gonna say it again that Dove Shampoo and conditioner is really great. Before my rebond treatment, Hair treats from Watson's is what I need. And now, I think that Hair treats is not for me. I noticed that after using that, my hair feels sticky and heavy. I've tried Sunsilk (pink) conditioner too and it's softer and really smells nice. Then I received this Dove duo from the MIL 3 weeks ago. And oh my, it's much much softer than the sunsilk. Even my office mate noticed it. "Nag Dove ka ngayon noh?" See! See! yah all have to try it!

S for supah straight
S for super straight--as in my hair is now straight. I asked my mom to accompany me to her suking parlor last Sunday to have my suppose-to-be-hair cut. I made up my mind and was ready for that short hair and even bangs because all my sisters do have new hair-do's. Sabi kase sakin, tutubo naman yan eh. So there I was thinking if I will go for it. Then my mom asked about the promo they have then she said go. I was like what?! She said, okay lang yan, and then she paid for it. How's that for a mom! hahaha! Even though I spend 6-long-hours in the salon, I'm one happy girl! Sino ba naman hindi db--rebond libre lang! Super Thanks mom!

Car Show @ WTC
I only have few minutes to spare and I'm blogging like crazy just to catch up with all the posts I've missed these past few days. Here's our little family trip to the Car Show last Sunday @ the World Trade Center. We left the house after lunch and we got there just in time to take pictures and watch Mr. Russ Swift's car stunts.
~ The little Angel loves motorcycles too... just like daddy. ~
~ Here we are enjoying the car stunts expect for the little angel who always do funny faces when it's time to take a picture. ~
~ Of course, sexy ladies looks good with hot cars! ~
~ The hubby won't leave until we get a picture of those trucks outside. ~
~ After that hot and sweaty afternoon, we had a trip to MOA
and had a feisty meal. The little angel loves spaghetti! ~Labels: chikahan, Lanna Jessie

What's up?!
That is--what's up with me?! Had a busy busy weekend. I only had one day off and that's the Sunday. That means I still had to go to work Saturday evening then went to church Sunday morning, so no sleep again for me. Then after lunch, three of us went to World Trade Center to check out the Car Show. I had to borrow my sister's cam because my mom brought my cam in Dubai. Unfortunately, we only few photos because most of them were videos taken from Mr. Russ Swift's car stunts. The hubby enjoyed the show and the little angel was like walalang. Maybe she's not into car right now. Oh well. After that, we went to MOA. Despite the heat and crowd, I still manage to stay awake. I wonder how I do it or if I will get sick someday because of this. Wag naman sana. I remembered we bought 2 sets of drinks because we always get thirsty. Init kase.
We had 2 stuffed pizzas and one half order of spaghetti in tomato sauce for the little angel. The hubby and I were happy to see the little angel eating alone. It was messy but it's okay. She almost finished her plate. Pictures to follow because the connection is acting slow again.
After our feisty meal at Sbarro, I caught myself pinned on the dvd sale. Original dvds from Php400 or 500, now it's only Php150 and 175. We bought Monsters Inc and Thomas the train for the little angel. I wanted to buy more but the hubby said it was getting late. damn. But I gave in because, of course I don't want to spend that much money on dvds alone.
The little angel was fast asleep in the car on the way home. How about me? Well, I fell asleep couple of times but the hubby kept on slapping my knee. Obviously, he doesn't want to me to sleep because we still need to go her Aunt to run some errands and no one will hold the little angel if I fell asleep too. Again, I manager to stay awake.
We were all dead tired, especially me when we got home. But I enjoyed the day. I love going out with them. I hope we can do it more often. Our next road trip--Manila Ocean Park.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I had the whole day yesterday dedicated to "sleeping" alone. I can't even remember if I ate anything. All I can remember was the little angel was there beside me playing with her toys. I remembered, I woke up when she had to climb over me to get to other side of the bed, I slightly opened my eyes and was half asleep--then she touched my face and she said "Sleep mommy, sleep..." with a soft voice. I wanted to hug, cuddle and kiss her but I was too sleepy to do it. Joys of motherhood.
Then off I go again to work at night. Everybody was smiling last night because it was a holiday. That means 100% hehehe.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I kissed the little angel and went straight to bed when I got home this morning. I had a 7-hour sleep and now my eyes are puffy. Too much sleep? I don't know. If my memory serves me right, I was awake for almost 2 days and I think 7 hours of sleep is not enough. Oh well.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
My parents, my sister and her hubby will be back tomorrow from their 16 days vacation in Dubai. I can't wait. I had to admit I miss my parents. I miss my sister and mom's text messages and my dad calling me at 10AM just to check if I'm already home in Bulacan with the little angel. Of course, I'm excited with the pasalubong! yey!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I still can't upload pictures with this damn slow connection. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow morning. Tsk.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Pahabol: I was dead desperate last night because my hair was a disaster. Yes, I'm getting those bad hair days again. Now, I'm thinking of curls, straight or bangs. Oh well.
