Yup! It's two days left before the kiddo's birthday. Plus MIL and BIL will go back to the US on the same day. We'll definitely gonna miss them both. Anyway, kiddo and I are here in SM Fairview doing some last minute shopping for her birthday party in school tomorrow. I ordered spagetti and drink at Mcdo and will be delivered 8am tom. Loot bags checked. All we need now is to buy mamon from Red Ribbon plus decide what cake we need to bring for her candle blowing.

Kiddo is growing up fast. As in growing taller. That's a good sign right. Anyway, will continue walking after I finish my coffee here in Country Style.

FIL's 60th birthday today at Jade Valley. It's gonna be a major family reunion on my hubby's side of the family. Can't wait to meet them all. But I'm still undecided what to wear. Finally finished 'hilot' an hour ago at my parents house. I was advised to keep the bandage on for 3 more days for support. And for my right foot, I was advised not to wear heels, and careful not to step on bumps and humps. I hope my foot will recover soon so I can start working out because I just received Wii Fitness Plus from my sister last Christmas and I can't wait to try it.

Being talkative has it's advantages, like the kiddo.. she always say what's in her in mind and what she feels. And being her mother, that's a good thing. We always talk about anything. From our fun talks to our serious talks. She even told me what she would want to be when she grow up. Nurse, doctor, veterinarian and teacher. I know I want her to be a successful musician because that's my frustration haha. We always want our kids to be like us. But of course I will not force her to be someone she does not want. Anyway, she's considering to be a Veterinarian because she's in-love with pets nowadays. Veterinarian Jobs are always in-demand so that's okay hahaha. Anyway, she still has more than 15 years to decide so we need not to hurry hahaha.

We are here in Subic. Finished the Sea Lion and Dolphin show this morning at Ocean Adventure and had lunch at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe. Big Ben's pizza never fails to full an empty stomach. Our Ace Water spa trip was cancelled today so we just slept the whole day. Off to subic very early tomorrow. Hectic schedule I know. Thank God for vacation leaves. We've been in and out of town since the start of the year. I hope it'll be like this the whole year hahaha, or maybe out of the country? Who knows. Anyway, I'm still reminiscing the events of my sister's wedding yesterday. We are all excited to see pictures.

My left foot still hurts and so is my right. I'm not concern if I will survive the subic tomorrow because I know I will. I'm more worried on the 'hilot' part on Monday. Goodluck to me.

Just got married

....my sister that is. Oh gosh! The wedding yesterday was so tiring. Everybody did a great job. Kudos to my sister A and of course, the on-the-day coordinators. Another successful zitros party! Can't wait to meet zitrobelles again later plus our new extended family. We'll hit Ace Water later this afternoon to unwind, chill and relax. Problem is, I think my left is worst than ever. I used high heels at the wedding until reception and now I can't walk flat properly anymore. I hurts alot when I put my foot down on the ground. Left side of the foot still hurts from the previous fall and now I can feel pain on the right part. I really need manghihilot big time.

We spend our new year at hubby's house. MIL was so happy to be with the kiddo. Priceless moments. Then we went to Pampanga for a small family birthday lunch. Hubby's side again. We just got home at my parent's house now is currently waiting for my sister, who just arrived from Dubai. Hubby and the kiddo are playing Wii while I post an entry. Anyway, I might fall asleep anytime soon because I'm so tired.

Tomorrow will need to wake up early because we'll go to Thunderbird in La Union with hubby's family and will stay there for 3 days. Then when we get back on Thursday, it's gonna be my sister's wedding. Watta week!

I hurried to Trinoma yesterday afternoon to purchase a nice swim suit and pay our phone bills but I was only able to get the swim suits and not pay the bills because the mall is jam-packed with people. Plus, I hurt my foot on the way to Landmark. I was trying to over take some people who were busy looking at their cellphones while walking then I accidentally stepped on the missing tile beside the escalator and twisted my ankle! I fell half way and it was really embarrassing. I pretended that it didn't hurt but after that 2-minute walk to Landmark, my left foot was already aching a lot. I sat down for a minute and massaged my foot. Hoping to ease the pain. It did, but only for awhile. I hurried and bought the swim that I liked and met with mom and dad for dinner, then coffee break @ The Coffee bean. Mom and dad dropped me off to work @ 8pm.

@ 2AM. I was expecting the pain would go away by now but somehow it gotten worse. It hurts when I touch it and even painful when I walk. I usually twist my ankle once a year and all of them seems to have bad results like this. But I wasn't expecting it now though. What a perfect way to end the year huh.

I called TonTon Thai foot massage and reflex earlier and probably visit them before my shift starts later. Hopefully the pain would be gone by then because I cannot afford to be injured right now. We got a 3-day stay @ ThunderBird Resort in La Union (Jan2-4), followed by my sister's wedding the next day (Jan.5). High heels man! Get the picture.

Just got home from a family dinner at Midas Hotel (formerly Hyatt hotel). Buffet eat all you can experience again. Thanks to BIL's mom. Too bad hubby had to stay home due to LBM, but the kiddo had a great time. Food was awesome! I ate more veggies than meat this time. I feel like I can eat there all day hahaha. Anyway, two days left before new year and it's back to work for me.

Family dinner

We had family dinner at Aberdeen Court yesterday to celebrate mom and dad's wedding anniversary. Eat all you can rate at only Php203 per person during weekdays and Php135 for kids. Meals served there are not the same as the one in Saisaki or Yakimix. They serve cooked meals with several variants and a dessert. Not too bad for 200+, plus we're not a big eater so it was okay.

What I love there was the coffee. I ordered cafe mocha and it was good! For only Php70. My sister bought flowers for mom and Conti's cake for dad. It was a good family night dinner. Thank you God.

I was thrilled when I learned that my parent's neighbor is a dermatologist. I am very much prone to break-outs and getting a treatment very month is what I really need. Last week, I had my second acne peel treatment and last Wednesday, hubby and I had our warts removed. It was a simple procedure but I had to admit that I got a little scared when Doc was burning the excess skin. Sounds like electricity zapping! Anyway, I had more on my neck and hopefully when the wound heals, I'll get a clearer skin.

I have continuous headaches for 4 days in a row. It seems that sleep is not the cure for it. I don't want to take advil all the time so I often drink coffee or just don't think about it. Anyway, the pain on my lower right ab is now consistent and it's already alarming. I was suppose to go to the doctor this morning but I had to buy groceries first, because our fridge is already empty. Then I went I got home, I was too damn tired to go out again. So I'm planning to go tomorrow (yes, really).

Hubby stayed at home and slept all day. He went to Baguio with his SOS club members for te yearly charity ride. He asked me if we (and he kiddo) can go with him next year. So let's see if our schedules will permit us.

I gave the kiddo her favortie cereal this morning and she was thrilled to see a free CD inside. But unfortunately, the hubby warned us not to use the TV upstairs because he said, the picture tube was already unstable and it might give in any moment, and for that, it's taking too much electricity. So propose that we buy a new TV instead for the house. Zero interest of course. I'll finish paying the iTouch in 2-3 months time and I plan to get the flat screen, probably just the 24" or lesser or something. I don't want it that big because our bedroom is not that big. So what brand... Sony? TCL? Samsung? Probably I'd pick which gives us the best deal.

Kiddo's Christmas vacation will officially start on Friday and we're excited next week. MIL and BILL will arrive on the 21st and my sister and her fiance on the 22th. Watta Christmas this will be!

Anyway, back to work for the mean time and will go to the clinic in a few because the pain is getting worse.

It's just days before Christmas and I haven't made a list yet. Kiddo and I went to the mall the other day and brought an item for her exchange gift in school and a couple of giveaways for her best friend and classmates. I plan to make polvoron and yema balls to give to other kids and hopefully I'll have enough time. Anyway, I still want to make a list I need to get for my family (parents and sisters) and I think I really need 2012 banana republic coupons. I'm on a budget this year, so store which offers a good deal will probably do. Christmas rush!

I never liked the sound of my voice. I always duck under the table whenever I hear my recorded voice singing the main part. I super envy those people who has that rocker-edge-crystal clear quality vocals. The jealousy faded when I came out and took the second voice part beside aiMz, lead vocalist of Marry Me Amy. Then I realized I was not afraid anymore. Our voices sounded like....two different tones in harmony. Two voices, One song.

Memories always comes whenever I play our songs. Glory days is yet to unfold. God will lead the way, and I believe in Him.

Christmas is in the air

I rushed out the door this morning at work, eager to go home. Plus I need to catch the train and beat the rain (just in case it'll pour and luckily it didn't). I was on the bus when I noticed the weather. It was gloomy, cloudy and cool. The fog is noticeable and I felt I was in Hong Kong hahaha. When I got off the bus, I felt the cold breeze right through my thin sweater and thought I'll have a good day sleep today.

I opened the door at home and was surprised because our Christmas was neatly assembled and the suppose-to-be shoe stand where the tree stands now was put away. The kiddo and hubby really did a good job. Now all we need are presents!

I thought we'll have a gloomy boring Christmas this year but as the days draw closer to the 25th, I'm finally feeling the Christmas spirit. Thanks to the hubby and the kiddo. Oh! And the weather too hahaha. Christmas is in the air guys!

I love Reading

Okay I'm guilty! ... I'm guilty of not having that much time because I'll pretty much occupied with reading. It's not that bad right. I'm glad I found my way back to reading again. It's like having a world in my head and it is I who has the only access to it. Anyway, I just finished 4 books--Fallen and Blue Blood, but still waiting for the rest of the books. I wrote those books on my wishlist already and I'm excited about it hahaha! So to kill the waiting time, I downloaded a Judith McNaught novel. I always wanted to try her romantic novels and now I just can't get my hands off it! I'm currently reading--Whitnet, my love in the computer and my sister M lend me one too. So I got a couple of books lined up already. It's amazing how I'm transported whenever I read.

Anyway, since I'm enjoying the hobby I always wanted to do, why don't you guys do the same. Read a book, play guitar, sing your heart out... anything. And tell me all about it.

Today is December 1st and my office mates are already busy making their wish list. I have a couple of 'Kris Kringle' exchange gifts events from different groups of people here. It's also exciting to know that I'll be getting a handful of gifts too. So like I said, wishlist. I was forced to make one for myself and as I check the list of 'babies' and their wishlist, something caught my eye. Someone actually wanted a Tablet Docking Station. Good thing the lucky person I'll be giving a gift this Christmas is a little less techie than this person haha. Anyway, December 16 will our official Christmas Party here at work and I'm soo excited to get my gift. I'll reveal it once I have it so stay tuned guys.

Quality Family time

It's payday once again and I've been limiting on rewarding myself lately due to the bills I need to pay. This Christmas, I've decided to reward myself but not with material means but to treat myself and my hubby and kiddo to the Spa. Quality family time is the best reward. I remembered when my grandfather was alive, he would treat us to a shopping spree at a local mall and the next day, I would wake up and find him standing in the garden wearing his suite, complete with titanium cufflinks under the morning light. I enjoy moments like that with him and the Holidays just makes me miss +Papang even more. So I would not exchange any material means with the quality family time because my family is by far my greatest treasure in the world. And my memory with my grand parent will live on forever.

I called work yesterday and notified half day because we had a follow-up check-up. We waited almost four hours before our number was called. But the good news is, no dengue and no fever anymore. We'll do another test on Friday and hopefully final check-up on Saturday. Then I didn't go to work second half because I wanted to be the kiddo. We attended two kiddie parties and went home tired and happy. It was worth it.

Okay.. I'm going back to my strict diet again. I know, I know... It's just that it's very hard to discipline myself especially when I'm stressed. But this time it's real (hopefully) haha. December is fast approaching and we have major family event coming up. The beautiful, the better.

Two goals before the event: bangs and derma. It's been two years since my last bangs and I really feel it's time again. Plus facial for clean-up, tone-down and a firmer skin will be a major pamper. And speaking of pamper, a visit to the waxing salon is what I really need and a nice foot spa too.

We are planning for a movie night this Wednesday and hopefully will be able to watch it this time. Edward here I come!

My sister is going back to Dubai tomorrow and I hope she was able to do the things she needs to for the wedding.

Oh yeah, need to do my wish list for the kris kringles at work. Can't wait for December.

Super mom!

I was alarmed when the kiddo's teacher texted me yesterday. We urgently fetched the kiddo from school because she was not feeling well. We went to the doctor that afternoon and had urine tests. We were advised to take paracetamol for the mean time and go back the next day. So early this morning we went for a follow-up check-up. Did some urine and CBC test and was referred to a pediatric nephrologist. So we went to the National Kidney Institute as advised, and for nearly two hours of waiting, we got to see the doctor. And guess what... More tests. Urine culture and dengue test. It was one hell of a day for me. I nearly broke down this afternoon because of the kiddo's situation. She threw up on her sweater, kept complaining about dizziness and headache, plus I carried her around because she refuse to walk due to her fever. This is one of those amazing gifts all mommies posses when it comes to their child. As the kiddo always say... "Never say never!"

Thank God we got home safely. Now I got the whole day tomorrow to monitor the kiddo--meds etc. Then follow-up check-up on Saturday. What bothers me now is that kiddo threw up what she ate today. I hope her condition progresses tommorror or it'll be hospital again for us. Well, I hope not. Anyway, I think I need to research more on dengue, as in thorough research because the doctor says we are prone since we were already diagnosed last September. One of the tests this afternoon caught my attention--Dengue IgM is weakly positive and the other tests--Dengue IgG and Dengue NS1 are both negative. But I guess if NS1 is negative, I shouldn't be alarm right.

My rest day should have been a movie night out with my sisters and tommorrow is swimming time at Ace Water Spa. I guess that's not gonna happen =(

Anyway, I'm still thankful because the kiddo is safe here with me at home. And I'm thankful also for the super powers that I got hahaha. Even though I'm not a super hero, I can tell that I'm a super mom! And I got the kiddo to prove it.

I always think I'm busy all the time, but this time I'm busier. Not just from work, home chores, mommy duties but also from reading the book. I'm already half done with TORMENT, and the same as the first book, it's slow-paced. If it weren't for the story line, I wouldn't want to finish it. Anyway, I expect to finish the book this weekend and probably watch some series for a change.

I envy those people who feels the presence of Christmas because I personally don't. I haven't even put up our Christmas tree yet and the little kiddo is already asking about it. Sad to say but I think it's just a waste of time. Oh my. What happen to me? Where's my Christmas spirit?

So last week, we pulled a big surprise for mom and dad. My sister J came home for a 9-day visit last Thursday and we surprised our folks at 2AM! Surprise! Surprise! hahaha. It was a success! Anyway, we ate pizza and talked and talked... endless conversations. Anyway, we had to leave because we had work the next day. I hope sister J (with the help of my other sisters) can finish all the wedding plans before she go back. And this Thursday is set reserved for the zitros movie night! We are all gonna attend Edward and Bella's Wedding! In other words, we'll watch Breaking Dawn Part 1 even though sister J doesn't want to. We are all gonna literally tight her up in her seat haha!

When I came home 40 minutes ago, I realized, while I was removing my shoes, my life recently has been a routine. I hate it that way. Wake up-Breakfast-work-home late at night-sleep-wake up-breakfast-work-home late at night... it's just an endless and senseless cycle. I am again and hopefully not forever trapped in this rat race that I got myself into. I want adventure, travel, beach, music, concerts, violin lessons, eat-out, biking and more! More hype and action that keeps the blood pumping. Hopefully next year would a little less boring than this.

Another week before December comes and after that it'll be the start of the count down. Count down until MIL ans BIL arrival... Count down until my sister's arrival... Count down until Christmas.. Count down until New Year.. Count down until FIL's 60th Birthday... Count down until the Kiddo's Birthday... Count down until MIL and BIL's departure... Count down until my sister goes back to D... and Count down to whatever comes our way. Hopefully we'll always counting down to good news.

Anyway, I'm always thinking positive from my routine life. I'm still hopeful.

Book review: FALLEN and BLUE BLOOD

I've finished BLUE BLOOD! Can you believe it? Just two days and I'm done. I know the book is not that long, compared to the twilight saga but I have to admit Melissa Dela Cruz (the author) really did a great job on this one. It really is a page turner.

Okay here's my verdict between the the books. Let me start with the first book that I read:

FALLEN. By Lauren Kate. I had to admit I got bored in the first few chapters of the book because of the slow-paced story telling technique and sadly it goes til the end. It other words, paligoy-paligoy pa is her style of writing. If it weren't for the story and my impression of the main character, Daniel, I wouldn't have finished the book. Readers beware: this book will just leave you with more questions than answers! And that made me want to buy the next book (I mean really really reeeeaaallyy wanna buy them) and those are TORMENT and PASSION. But from what I read from the reviews, these next two books are page turners and that's what I'm looking forward to. Another thing, this book has a really really nice cover. All of them actually. This book also is a breath of air from the Twilight saga. Something different, something new (for me) and something to look forward to.

BLUE BLOOD. By Melissa Dela Cruz. I'm surprised that the author is a Filipino. She migrated to the US when she was 12. I think she was also a fashion writer before at Marie Claire and now residing in LA. Sorry. I also have the habit of reading the author's bio just to get some background and know their inspiration. Anyway, this also made me more curious. I like her style. Simple and not too over explained and direct to the point. Fast-paced but not too fast. I hope you get my point. Anyway, the book is a little of everything and I love the story. Like I said, it's page turner and it didn't leave me hanging on the cliff that much compared to other book. It's like craving for more adventure.

I don't want to elaborate more on the story part because that's for you to find out. But all in all, these are good reads. Looking forward on purchasing the next series this weekend.

Tomorrow is my day off from work. I'll take a break and do errands for the mean time.

Hooked on book and more...

It finally stopped raining. The night is covered with an eerie silence. Like everything is still... like time stopped and I didn't.

Been hooked with a book these past few days and it felt good to be reading again. I already finished the FALLEN novel and now I'm on my second book--Blue Blood. I'm ready to sacrifice my food money so I can get the Fallen novels---Torment and Passion. I'm really hooked into it. If Blue Blood turn out to be okay, I'll probably buy the rest of the series as Christmas gift for myself or maybe include it in my wish list so someone else can buy it for me haha. Saves money huh.

The word is out. Marry Me AMY'ss front-woman is having a baby. I sense the unofficial break-up. I guess it's really not the time for us...yet. And a friend from work asked me if I could help him publish his songs. One album to be released from an independent record label. I gladly said yes so I could have a project to look forward to next year. Hope things will end well this time.

I'm afraid. I don't know what's in store for me next year but I hope it'll be less tragic than this. Better home, education, food and endless opportunities. May God shower us with blessings.

....I re-read my post for spell checks and I notice something eerie about it. Maybe reading these books affected the way I write my entries. A friend once told me that if want leave a mark in this world, you need to accomplish three things... (1) have a child. Check. (2) Plant a tree. Not yet and not sure if I can coz I'm good with plants. And (3) Write a book. Deep down inside me... I feel the urge to be a writer. Somehow, I want to have a book published with my name on it. I guess that's why i have a blog. Does this count on the number (3) list of things I need to do to leave a mark in this world? Maybe.

Anyway, soo looking forward this Friday. Will let the word out once everything turn out well okay as planned.

It's 5 weeks count down til MIL and BIL's arrival and the kiddo is very excited. I'm prepping her up for their vacation. I told her to eat and sleep more so when she see her lola, she'll be healthier and taller. I'm thinking about our pasalubong =) Chocolates! And what I'm looking forward to is the Victoria Secret lingerie. I know I'm just using inexpensive lingerie for everyday use, but it'll be really swell if I have more to add up my collection of lingerie. Anyway, I haven't got word from my vacation leaves from work, but if I need to get off from work, I'll probably will even if they don't let me because MIL and BIL comes and visit us once in every five years so I can't miss for the world.

I thought I'm gonna stay home today but we didn't. My mom asked us to meet them at Trinoma this afternoon. Kiddo and I went there early so she could go to the playground so me and sister zj stayed at Starbucks. We tried the Christmas drink---Cranberry white mocha frap but nothing fancy about it. Nothing compared to the Christmas drink two years ago. Anyway, spending the time in the mall made me less stressed. It kept my mind off from the money problems here at home. Then it made my wonder how lucky other people are... To have so much but yet still not satisfied.

I know I'm lucky because I have my own family and we are happy... And my parents and sisters to lean on when I need them. Yes, I'm lucky and satisfied. Thank you Lord.

It's finally rest day tomorrow and I'd probably stay home (again). Please don't ask why. Anyway, I have things to do to keep me busy like play guitar, cook and watch The Vampire Dairies season one. They told me it's a good show and I'm quite intrigue. So since True Blood is still many many months away, I'll just keep myself busy with other shows. I have to remind myself to also watch Green Lantern. I saw it in the bus earlier on the way home but did'nt finish it because I need get off.

Thank God I can still write songs and poems. Last week, words just popped out from inside and I made three songs in an hour. Next thing I want to learn is to compose melodies. I haven't wrote a single note, ever. Hopefully, it'll come to me too.

Why do I have the feeling that my dreams are falling apart. And I'm deeply crushed about it. Help me.

My sister's wedding is coming up. We've already accomplish half of the plans but there's still so many things to do and that's the venue, which is the most important and the invites. Of course, we need to confirm first the venue before we print the invites so maybe we can accomplish that this week. December is fast approaching and I just realized that I don't have a gift yet. It'll be a Christmas gift and a wedding present too for both of them. I'm planning to get something personalized so they can take it with them when they go back to Dubai. Muscle pain reminds me that I'm on my way to a healthier me. I'm in pain, but it's okay. Jogging jogging jogging. I think I'm doing a great job in motivating myself. It's the biggest challenge ever you know.

Rest day. Such nice words. For me it means, time to spend quality time with yourself, family or friends. So today I woke up early to start my morning jogging. But after 5 minutes, it started to drizzle. So I had no choice but to go back home. But at least I had a 10-minute jog. I continued exercising at home and hit the shower. I met with my sister A and Z, with mom at lunchtime in Caspari. We had our measurements taken and went to DV to buy the materials needs for the gown. Christmas is everywhere in DV, not to mention the people... Soo many. There's still a lot of things we need to accomplish for my sister's wedding and at least we're getting there. And oh btw, there are 'legally' married now. Mom and dad got the papers already.

It's raining again. Sleeping is recommended. I hope, no dengue anymore (knock on wood).

Yes, we have Internet. Sun pocket wifi is slower than the usual smartbro connection. But this is 3G, so I understand. At least I get to bring it anywhere I go.

We have a new dog. Arfie. He's still adjusting to his home (here), that's why he's noisy. I know sooner or later, he'll shut up so we can get a decent sleep.

We also have a new bird. Haven't seen it close-up but I think it's like a small parrot or something. Hubby found it outside he's office. I hope he'll live here. Kinda nice to have another bird. Yes, I said it (coming from a person who does not like animals/pets).

I'm thinking about the kiddo. We didn't continue her violin lessons anymore because I don't have money to pay for the tuition. Suck I know. She even told me that she wanted piano lesson, ballet and taek wando too... =( I believe molding the child during their early years is essential. There's so much I want to give her but I can't and it makes me mad. Sometimes she complains she don't have anything to do at home and those extra activities is perfect. Oh well. That's life.

There's a familiar smell in the air that I noticed on my way home 30 minutes ago. It's obvious that Christmas is in the air, but why am I not happy? Because it's year-end again and looking back, I thought I haven't really done anything this year. And quite frankly, it's been the worst year so far. I'm not sure if I'm ready to post my misfortune for the world to see. But at the end of the day, I believe there's still light at the end of the tunnel. Even though this tunnel I'm into is a very long one.

Kiddo won the "BEST IN COSTUME" at work. Special Thanks to MIL and BIL for the Tinkerbell dress (with matching shoes that lights up!) that they bought and effortlessly sent just in time for Halloween. Thank You also to my sister A for the blonde wig which matches the dress and my friend Milan for the head dress. Dressing her up was a breeze, because she really liked it haha. Thank you also my friends for the pictures.

And as for me... Isn't it obvious I'm a pirate? hahaha.. A corset over the black dress with matching boots was my get-up. Love this pic of us...

My dad's 60th birthday was a complete success and now we're planning FIL's 60th birthday this coming January 14, 2012. SIL already found the perfect venue and it's already booked. MIL and BIL will soon come home this December 21 and it'll surely be a blast! Now it's time to finalize the birthday party invitations because we plan to send them out early December. This Christmas season is surely gonna be a memorable one and we are all excited.

EPIC FAIL FOR SMART BRO

I've been using Smartbro for more than 3 years already and I haven't had any serious problems until now. I had this problem before the typhoon Pedring and I troubleshot my gadgets, isolated that it's the connection that's the problem. I opened up a ticket with Smartbro last week, Thursday. They advised me to "monitor" the connection because the base station is down. Next day, same problem. Opened another ticket and I was promised a tech dispatch anytime soon. I waited for a WEEK. So the week that I was waiting, the connection was very VERY VERY slow. Worst than dial-up. Imagine that. Gmail sign-in page would come up but once I log-in, it'll take some time and then display a "Try re-loading again". Is that what I paid for? Then came the Php999 bill. Do you think I would have the mood to pay for it?

I called Smartbro tech line again yesterday because AGAIN, the connection is DOWN. I would get a valid IP address from the bass station but the page would just not load. They gave me a ticket again promising that they'd forward this to the technical team for a possible dispatch. WTF. So meaning, I was promised a dispatch last week but the agent did not actually endorsed it. Worst part is that line kept on DISCONNECTING. I had to call them again three times.

On my third call, I've disconnected the router and went straight to the modem from the laptop. Same shit. Valid IP but no Internet. We assigned a static IP and rebooted the laptop. Guess what? Same shit. NO INTERNET CONNECTION. Guess what they'd told me.... "Monitor the connection while we endorse this to the technical department." Wow. What a script. So I would 'monitor' until I get a connection? That's bullshit. How will I monitor the connection when they assign an static IP on my computer when their connection is running on DHCP. Now I have 4 tickets opened and 2 pending dispatch. Nice.

Before this shit happened, I called SUN two days ago and inquired about the pocket-wifi. They got back to me that same day and told me that my application for the SUN broadband was approved. I just need to pass some xerox copy docs and the unit will be delivered to my doorstep on Monday. No cash out. Bills will be reflect on the next statement.

Difference with the SUN pocket wifi is that I can't use my router anymore, but I can connect 5 users to it, PLUS I can bring it anywhere. I don't think I have 5 laptops with me so it seems fair. PLUS PLUS, it's cheaper. Php649 a month. I can't wait til Monday so I can have a decent connection. Hope this new service will do me good.

Worst part is almost over. Later I will go to Smart Wireless Center and have the Smart bro disconnected permanently. They might have me pay for the remaining bill that I did NOT use. I hope they don't, or else.... I would probably burst my frustration to the sales rep and make a scene. Of course, I don't want that to happen. Wah poise eh.

Cookies for Christmas

It's that of the year again! And I'm thinking of what to give to my friends as early as now. This year, I want to give something that they can use or eat. Two years ago, I gave away tokens and last year, I gave away brownies and crinkles. But since I don't have the proper equipment and training for that, I was thinking of buying and send a cookie basket for each one of my closest friends. My sister's friend recently opened an online store on the Internet (FB) and she just announced that her slots have been fully occupied. That's mean, she's not taking orders till December. Fully booked! Wow! It means her small business is growing better. And for that, I may need to order from someone else, or make a batch again myself. Let's see.

My brother-in-law's brother really loves cars. I remember when we went to their house few months ago, I was shocked to see mags installed on his car. I don't know anything about mags you see but the ones he has on his car is one kick-ass monster. Then we had a family dinner last weekend and I was surprised to see same car. My sister said, BIL approved they'd use it that night. Then I was blow-away when I learned that same car has the cool train horn installed. It was really loud. Perfect for troublesome bus drivers here in the city. Well, you'll know what I mean if you're living here. I remember my husband once told me that he wants to install train horns on his motorcycle because of the same bus drivers. I guess he really needs one right.

This is what I call the "Family Lazy Weekend" because we're all here at my parent's house doing all the lazy stuff... watching TV, browsing, eating, sleeping...

Woke up with that favorite smell of tuyo, fried rice, tomatoes, spam, cheese dogs and coffee. Mamsie really knows what to cook when we're all here. I love family lazy weekends!

I hurried to do all my work on the web. I even sorted the links, tabs and chat box here, imagine that. Now my site looks presentable again.

Tell me crazy but my finger automatically chose to play Marry Me Amy's draft playlist on the iTouch, then upon hearing them, it sends me back from the time we were arranging them. From the time when we would jam three times a week. Five hours straight non-stop jamming. Then eat snack/dinner before I go to work. Common likes, stories that we shared and laughs that we had. Such great feeling. Now I'm missing the band MORE. I don't why but it's like there's a BIG chunk of my heart that belongs to these guys...

Ace Water Spa

I definitely recommend Ace Water Spa to everybody who really wants to relax. It's our first time to experience Ace Water Spa this afternoon and it's all worth it. Php550 entrance for adults, Php250 for kids below 4feet and Php393 for senior citizens. Maximum of 4 hours use of all the facilities. The locker area was awesome. Everything you need--it's all there! The kids had a very nice time. I super love the sauna bath and the herbal pool. It's very relaxing and took all my body pains away. We're definitely gonna go back. Oh btw, we went to the new branch in Pasig. Thumbs up! Anyway, get ready for an awesome experience at Ace Water Spa and definitely an empty stomach after hahaha. And here's more on the after feeling---sleepy! Everybody is snoring here haha. Goodnight! Zzzzz...

Internet still no good here. I already reported this the other day. What's frustrating about this is that I can't even sign-on to fb here on the iTouch when it was suppose to be a breeze. Now I'm seeing another bill that I need to pay but their service sucks. Okay I'll stop. I don't want to spoil my Friday anyway.

I smell something savory. The neighbor's must have been cooking something good. I love cooking. I love to eat =)

I started jogging last week because the weather was good, until yesterday due to my period. I promised myself that I'd loose weight before December and I panicked because it's already October tsk tsk! I know I can do it so please don't rain.

Work was stressful as always. Although I had enough sleep yesterday, I'm still dozing off especially during wee hours.

Thank GOD for the iTouch! The lappy is impossible to use and I feel baf about it. I borrowed Windows 7 already. It's been awhile since I install my last OS. I hope I can do justice with the lappy.

3 days to go! Yeah! Coz I'm on vacation leave on Friday. Happiness I know. We'll be watching Tanduay Rhum Rockfest @ MOA. I'm so looking forward to Hungry Young Poets' performance! It's actually their reunion gig so I wouldn't miss it for the world. Haaayyy.... I miss playing.... I miss my band ;(

I'm still keeping my hopes up. Yes, I have faith.

I can't believe I did it but yes, went to work for 8 days last week. Middle of the week, met with some friends and went to the wake of a friend's dad. I was crushed to see my friend and her family like that. But all I can do is pray. Weekend came like a breeze. Stayed at home whole day last Saturday and finally went home in Bulacan yesterday. We had a small despedida lunch for hubby's cousin because she will go to Australia on Wednesday for work. Lucky I know. Good thing we went hear mass late afternoon, then had a nice family dinner at Mann Hann at SM North. I love weekend rest day. Wish I could have 'em like all year round.

Then I thought, I can never really use it especially now I'll be working out a lot. I just from my mom this morning that she already send the papers to my sister in Dubai. It's their marriage contract. We need them to sign it and send it back to us. Maybe by week next, we'll get the papers. I suggest they scan the document from document imaging, just in case, we loose it. But of course, we don't want that to happen right. Anyway, it's only 3 months before my sister's wedding and the invitations are already in progress, and for the gown designs--I really need to pick what design I would wear. Damn Internet is so slow at home. I already cleaned up the laptop and it's still crawling. I know for sure it's the connection because I'm getting the same slowness on the iTouch too. I've been thinking on changing our provider to SUN broadband so we can bring it anywhere but the wireless router will be useless.

So here's what I did:
1) Connect the laptop directly to the modem.
--Tried this already but the laptop is not responsive. Yeah, it's so damn slow.
2) Rebooted/Power cycled.
--Tried several times already!
3) Brought the laptop to another wireless network.
--I actually tried the laptop at my sister's workplace (WET CENTRUM) and it's working fine.
--And the iTouch too. Dang! So there...

And here's what I need to:
1) Call the smartbro people and have the connection checked.
--Maybe they need to adjust antenna to a different direction or something.
2) Reload the OS on the laptop.
--The laptop's already what--2 years old? and Vista it's just plain crap.
--A co-worker was so nice to lend me his Windows 7 installer but there's two more borrowers ahead of me. Perfect!
3) Change ISP.
--Switching to another ISP means a bond fee of 12 months with the new service.
--This is the last option (I think).

It's currently raining cats and dogs right now, and everybody's been focused on the news while the typhoon progresses. Sad to see unfortunate one's whom their homes have been swept away by the storm. I hope the typhoon would leave the country soon.

I know there will come to a point in my life that I will think that I want to change my career path. I know this is not a bad thing, but going out of one's comfort zone is one difficult thing to overcome. I tell this to you know because I'm feeling that way right now. I recently browse the Internet for jobs here and abroad, and I'm surprised to see all possible jobs vacancy all around the world. Nurses are still in-demand, as well as Engineers, Architects, Machine operators in the Middle East, I even saw Audiologist Jobs, but then I had to google up Audiogist just to check their job description hahaha. I hope I could decide in what to do because in three months time, it's another new year of me, and I know I have to do something. Change is constant.

I just chatted with my friend who lived in the States for the past 15 years and she was able to compare the lifestyle and the standard or living here and abroad. She mentioned that there is a big difference. Standard of living here is much cheaper than abroad, and I know that's pretty obvious. And on thing she complain about was the medical benefits. Here, we can easily set appointments with the doctors while abroad, it'll take a few weeks to get an slot. And also they are pretty strict about prescription drugs because they have a lot of cases of prescription drug abuse addiction. And good thing, we don't get a lot of that here. I know there are a lot of ups and downs on the lifestyles that we was in but the thing is, it's how we live it.

Thank God everything is okay now. We're just waiting for the discharge and we're outta here. St. Lukes did a great job. Thank you for the nice experience. It's back to reality for ke tomorrow and kiddo can go to school on Monday. She really misses her teacher and classmates. TGIF!

Medical Services

It's day 3 for us here at St. Lukes Medical Center. Service is great, our room is kept clean all throughout the day, our meals are served on-time and the staff are super friendly. It's funny how I'm caught up with all these medical equipments too because I see them more often now. Anyway, I think there's only hospitals that I trust and that's Medical City, where I gave to the kiddo and here in St. Lukes because they have high-tech equipments, like the cautery, automatic BP, medical thermometers and this dextrose regulator. Anyway, we are lucky to experience good medical service and from one of the trusted hospitals here in the country.

Kiddo's fast asleep now. I'm sure everything will be okay.

I watched the kiddo sleep all day. She looked so tired. I can't help but feel bad about this dengue thing going on. But good thing, we monitored her condition and brought her to the hospital asap. While we were in the Emergency Room last night, it's sad to see other kids are sick too. If I have fuji cameras, I would probably take pictures there at the ER so I post it here. But of course, it would be awkward shoot while half of the people there are sick. Anyway, I'm taking photos of us now, just to document our quick hospital trip. And also, so we can have something to look back in the future. Take care to all and goodnight.

It was the kiddo's 4th day of high fever yesterday and when I got the results from the tests, my chest felt heavy and my hands started to shake. I never would have imagine that we would get dengue. We rushed her to St. Lukes ER and got a room. Kid and the hubby are sleeping peacefully now. I tried to sleep. Really. My eyes hurt already but I just can't. I don't have any idea what will happen next. I feel panicky-calm inside. But as I rest beside the kiddo's side tonight, I pray God will help and guide us althrough out this journey. I have to be strong. I just got to.
